grief support
A grief support group for those who are living through the pain of loss meets weekly (Wednesdays at 10 AM) at FUMC's Center for Spiritual Formation. Anyone experiencing grief is welcome to attend -- this group is open to the public. The group sessions, facilitated by Patty Rives, MSW, LCSW, follow a non-curricular, relational format to meet the dynamic needs of the group members. Patty Rives is a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience in the fields of bereavement support, crisis prevention and intervention, as well as suicide prevention, intervention and postvention. She currently serves as the Director for the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center.
